Volunteers from PHAR with assistance from the Middleburg Humane Foundation went to a home in Grant County on April 14, 2011 and removed 57 dogs and six cats. Check back for details and photos of this operation.

Title: Horse Rescue near Grant / Pendleton line

Two horses, one which was in terrible condition were rescued by Potomac Highlands Animal Rescue with the help of Middleburg Humane Foundation. The horses were transported to MHF for daily vet evaluation. It is estimated that one of the horses was within two weeks of starvation. Both are now safe and healthy and the owner has been convicted.
